This project involved representing the Entity Relationship Diagram of a car as a movie theater. Thus, the various parts of the movie theater represented the various entities involved in the ERD of a car. For example, the entrance represents the car consumers. The central lobby represents the car itself, with its four attributes, or movie theaters: color, price, year, and model. The left lobby represents the car dealer, while the right lobby represents the car manufacturer.
Originally each student had to give a presentation covering all their various modeling strategies. The following link goes directly to my powerpoint presentation.
Aesthetic Computing PowerPoint PresentationOnce we had decided upon a specific model, we were given the task of actually building a physical representation of the model. The following link is to the class page where all the physical models are shown, as well as videos attempting to explain the models.
Movie Theater Physical ModelFinally, we were given the task of building this model as a VRML world. The link is below for that world.
